Description
Decadent Oreo cheesecake bars with a crunchy chocolate cookie crust and a creamy, rich cheesecake filling loaded with crushed Oreos.
Ingredients
- 24 Oreo cookies (crushed)
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix crushed Oreos with melted butter until combined. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes, then set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in vanilla extract and sour cream until fully combined.
- Fold in chopped Oreos.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the center is set.
- Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until fully chilled.
- Lift from the pan, slice into bars, and serve.
Notes
- Do not overmix after adding eggs to prevent cracks.
- Chill thoroughly for clean slices.
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture.
- Top with whipped cream or chocolate drizzle for extra indulgence.
