Description
A quick and easy beef stir fry that’s packed with flavor, tender beef, and crisp vegetables—better than takeout and ready in minutes.
Ingredients
- 400g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 5 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
- Add beef and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 30 seconds.
- Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Return beef to the pan and add oyster sauce and water. Stir well to combine.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil if using.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Use high heat for best stir fry texture.
- You can swap vegetables based on preference.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
- Add chili sauce for extra heat.
