Description

A quick and easy beef stir fry that’s packed with flavor, tender beef, and crisp vegetables—better than takeout and ready in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 400g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
  3. Add beef and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Return beef to the pan and add oyster sauce and water. Stir well to combine.
  7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.
  8. Drizzle with sesame oil if using.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Use high heat for best stir fry texture.
  • You can swap vegetables based on preference.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
