Ingredients
- 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
- In another bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce into the same pan and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Drizzle with sesame oil if using and cook for another minute.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

- Use fresh or thawed shrimp for best texture.
- Do not overcook shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
