Ingredients
- 6 large buttery croissants, torn into pieces
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup salted caramel sauce, divided
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Flaky sea salt for garnish
- Whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread croissant pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle 1/2 cup of salted caramel sauce over the croissants.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants.
- Gently press the croissants into the custard and let soak for 15 minutes.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and the custard is set.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Drizzle remaining salted caramel sauce over the pudding.
- Sprinkle lightly with flaky sea salt.
- Serve warm with whipped cream if desired.
